Except
for a Caesarian in 1988 for her daughter’s birth, a 69 year-old
woman was
never
hospitalized nor had a primary doctor for 28 years. She trusted in
God to keep her in good
health.
But after visiting her daughter in California on July 7, 2016 for her
28th birthday, the next day she fell backwards on an
ascending escalator in El Monte trying to catch a Greyhound bus back
to her Arizona residence. She was carrying four awkward heavy items.
An
ambulance transported her to an orthopedic hospital in Arcadia. CT
scans and x-rays of her right leg and arm showed a “right acute
comminuted fracture of the proximal right humerus [shoulder] with
displacement,”
and an “acute fracture of the proximal tibia and proximal fibula”
[knee] with
swelling.
When
the hospital ER doctor told her, basically, “Your leg is much worse
than we thought, and have to
prep
you for surgery,” she emphatically said, “No surgery”! Raising
her left hand up in the air with a
finger
pointing to the ceiling, she said; “God is my Great Physician. He
will heal me.” “No ma’am,” said
the
doctor. “God can’t heal your leg.” “You don’t know the
power of God,” she replied.
Remarkably,
with two internal leg/arm fractures, an ER hospital report shows she
had “no chest pain, no
palpitations,” “no abdominal pain, no nausea, no vomiting,” “no
dizziness, no numbness.” EKG monitoring
showed “normal” results. She was “alert in no distress,” and
“oriented,” with a “normal mood and behavior.”

Hospital
reports show that she, essentially, “refused all lab values as well
as any pain medications.” By refusing
treatment, she was exercising her patient’s “rights” under CFR
42, Sec. 483.10 (b)(4) “Resident
Rights.”
On
a scale of 1-10 at the hospital, she described her 3-2-1 pain level
decreasing to virtually no pain. On 7/11/16, she was transported to a
skilled nursing facility in Whittier, and moved about from her bed
into a wheelchair to physical therapy, etc. The medical staff was
amazed she had no pain. She
told one doctor, “I fired you because you ordered Norco for me
without my authorization or consent.”
Another primary care doctor was assigned whom she liked. He told her,
“I wish more patients had faith in God like you.”
So
there would be no mistake of her refusal of all pain meds, she wrote
a note that was scotch taped inside
the front of her blue plastic covered chart folder. This note
asserted her “’Patient’s Rights’ in refusing
all medications (including pain meds) whether orally or by injection,
or otherwise” . . .
On
9/12/16, new x-rays were taken of her leg and arm showing “healing.”
That same day she purchased
a walking cane at a CVS pharmacy in a wheel chair via Dial-A-Ride
against medical advice. After about two months in hospital
facilities, against doctor's advice she began putting full weight on
her right leg using a cane for stability because of muscle weakness.
On
9/15/16, she discharged herself from a nursing facility in El Monte
against medical advice. Calling a taxi, she boarded a Greyhound bus
to Arizona with her walking cane in her hand – using the same right
fractured arm in the escalator fall.
Her escalator fall happened, she believes, so she can share her testimony with many people of her great “faith in God”; and how this same God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, whom she worships, has healed her leg/arm fractures with no surgeries, no pain, and no pain meds. God must have given her “three times the endorphins” in her body so she would have no pain she says, which was His reward when she declared her great “faith in God” to the ER hospital doctor.
| 8/11/16 AND 9/12/16 X-RAYS SHOWING PROGRESSIVE HEALING |
Regarding
her right leg, x-ray comparisons taken on 7/8/16 and 9/12/16 show an
acute fractured displaced fibula now in a non-displaced normal
alignment of joints without surgery thru God's miraculous healing, she
says.
Many times she has also told people she is thankful that God saved her life, and that she didn’t suffer head or spinal injuries when she fell backwards on the escalator. In her prayers she blesses God, and believes He protected her life with His guardian angels, which are mentioned in the Bible.

(This
woman of “faith in God” is a student of the Bible for many years.
She is the daughter of Holocaust survivors. The surnames of her
parents and her birth surname are listed in Yad Vashem archives in
Jerusalem.)
